New Santa Fe Regional Trail is a 16.9 mile trail that runs between Palmer Lake to the north and Colorado Springs to the south.  The trail offers a number of activity options for all skill levels.

Trail heads are located at Baptist Road, Palmer Lake, and Third Street in the town of Monument. Other trail access points are located at Highway 105 in Monument, Northgate Road, and Ice Lake at the Air Force Academy.

Just steps from your front door will be a world of opportunities for fitness in the great outdoors.  Willow Springs Ranch will feature connected trails with outdoor fitness stations and trails mile markers for training and walks.

Monument Lake - Just 9 minutes away!

Fishing is permitted with a valid Colorado fishing license. This roughly 30-acre lake boasts rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, cutbow trout, catfish, perch, blue gill, pike and small mouth bass, and sometimes large-mouth bass.

Palmer Lake - Just 15 minutes away!

Fishing is permitted with a valid Colorado fishing license.  Enjoy fishing, hiking, biking and horseback riding under the beautiful blue Colorado sky. It is a 36-acre regional recreation site nestled at the foot of picturesque Ben Lomand Mountain.

Access the New Santa Fe Regional Trail at the trail head at Palmer Lake: This 15-mile trail is one of the longest continuous trails in El Paso County where you can enjoy biking, hiking and horseback riding year-round. In winter, cross-country skiers and snowshoers enjoy the pathway on this Palmer Lake trail.
